The Sherburn Economic Development Authority (EDA), as the City’s economic development arm, consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and City Council. The EDA is responsible for planning, guiding, directing, and implementing the city’s overall economic development plan. It also operates a revolving loan program which assists with business start-ups and expansions and brings together a wide variety of resources specifically tailored to help all types of businesses through several business assistance programs.
